How far is the nearest beach?

There is a beach across the street on the Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean Beach is a simple 10 minute walk.

What are the accepted forms of currency, current exchange rate?

Eastern Caribbean Dollars and American Dollars. American exchange rates are currently 2.7169 Eastern Caribbean dollar per USD

What travel documents are required?

All persons with the exception of citizens of the OECS (Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States) traveling to St. Kitts are required to present a valid passport in order to enter St. Kitts-Nevis. Where applicable, documentation of a legal name change (for example, a marriage certificate) must also be presented. Additionally, proof of sufficient funds and a return or onward passage might be required.

Persons travelling should reconfirm travel document requirements with their carrier prior to trip commencement.

If I arrive in St. Kitts, do I need immigration to travel to Nevis?

No, St. Kitts and Nevis is one Federation, if you enter on one island you can transfer to the other island without restriction and travel documents.

Do I need a Visa to travel to St. Kitts & Nevis?

Visa requirements are based on your citizenship. Persons visiting on a cruise or for less than 24 hours do not require a visa. For up-to-date information on countries that require a visa to enter St. Kitts and Nevis, visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What airlines travel to St. Kitts?

American, AirCanada, Delta, United, Liat, Winair, Seaborne, British Airway and just added, Sun Country.

How far to the airport?

The airport is only a 7 minute drive to Royal St. Kitts Hotel

What transportation to and from the airport is available?

General costs? Taxi service is available and within 7 minutes from the Royal St. Kitts Hotel at a cost of US $20.00 one-way.

What time zone are you in?

St. Kitts is considered GT-4, Atlantic Standard Time.

What restaurants are available? Do I need a reservation?

Our property hosts 5 different style restaurants to choose from with a wide breadth of international cuisine. Dining by our Splash Pool & Bar is a must to get you started.

Do you have a salon and spa?

Yes, on property we host the Chop Shop and Spa that covers hair, nails, massage and more.

Where can I buy sundries and/or grocery items?

Located on property at The Royal Plaza is Ram’s Supermarket which is fully stocked and easily accessible.

Whom do I call in case of a medical emergency? Pharmacy?

The Hotel front desk will assist with an on-call Physician and a pharmacy is only 5 minutes from the Hotel.

How safe is the drinking water?

The tap water is clean and safe for consumption. Bottled water is also available for purchase on premise.

Where is the closest bank and bank machines?

There are international banks in Basseterre, the city center. The closet bank machine ATM is within walking distance.

Do you accept pets?

Yes, pets are allowed. There is a USD$200.00 one time charge per room.

What forms of credit card do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards.

How do I get to Nevis?

There is water taxi, Seabridge (car ferry) and public ferry. Please enquire at the front desk for schedule and details.

How far to city center? Taxi costs?

Ten minutes away and a cost of $20.00 USD per one way.

Are there smoking areas / rooms available?

Sorry, no smoking in guest rooms. Smoking is permitted in designated bar/resort areas and patio/ balcony.

What are your cancellation policies?

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy

Deposits for bookings? Cash deposits?

A credit card is required for guaranteed reservations. If paying by cash, a refundable security deposit is required. Please note that a credit card is required in order to charge incidentals directly to the room (dining, long distance phone charges, etc.).

Am I able to book Island activities through the hotel?

Yes, the Hotel front desk will assist with planning your activities.

Is in-room dining available?

Private special occasion dining arranged? Yes, room service is available. Private special occasion in-room dining can be arranged.

Pool regulations and policy?

Proper swim attire is required. Disposable swimwear available for purchase. Please note, there is no lifeguard on duty.
