Royal St. Kitts Hotel is seeking a professional, alert and dependable Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our guests, employees and property.
We are looking for someone who understands that effective hotel security requires both vigilance and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the property.
- Monitor access points, CCTV and assigned areas.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
- Assist with crowd control and conflict situations.
- Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, hazards and property damage.
- Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain a visible, professional and customer-focused security presence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous security, law enforcement, military or hotel security experience would be an asset.
- Strong observation and situational awareness skills.
- Good judgement and decision-making ability.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- High integrity, reliability and confidentiality.
- Security, First Aid and/or CPR certification would be an asset.
Physical and Working Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to conduct regular patrols throughout the property.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and incidents.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to maintain alertness throughout the assigned shift.
- Ability to follow established procedures and use appropriate protective and safety equipment where required.
Schedule and Transportation
Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays, as operationally required.
