Royal St. Kitts Hotel is seeking a skilled and dependable Painter to join our Maintenance team and help maintain the appearance, condition and overall presentation of the property.
Located in the heart of Frigate Bay, our hotel offers a welcoming home away from home, with studios and suites designed for comfort and convenience.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete interior and exterior painting and finishing work.
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, patching, filling and priming.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes.
- Complete touch-ups and repairs while maintaining quality standards.
- Keep work areas, tools and equipment clean and organised.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all health, safety and chemical-handling procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least five years of previous painting experience; hotel or commercial experience would be an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, responsible and safety-conscious approach.
- Technical or vocational training would be an asset.
Physical and Working Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stretch and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry paint, equipment and materials.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding or other approved equipment.
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work around paint, solvents, dust, fumes and other chemicals while using appropriate protective equipment.
Schedule and Transportation
Applicants must be comfortable working flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays, as operationally required.
